Submitted by Webmaster on Sat, 07/05/2008 - 17:03
Recreation in the Lone Pine Area

The mighty Sierra Nevada mountain range is home to the highest peak in the contiguous 48 states. Mt. Whitney at 14.497 feet, towers above the tiny hamlet of Lone Pine, California and attracts visitors from the world-over.

The Mt. Whitney area has much to offer in the way of recreation. This is a fisherman's paradise and a hikers dream. For those who enjoy a slower paced agenda, Mt. Whitney is a wondrous place for solitude and quiet reflection.
